    That seems promising. 
    There's more reporting giving the discovery site as being in western Omusati Region:
    "The sphere, which weighs just over 6 kg and has a circumference of 110 centimetres, landed near Onamatunga sometime between November 15 and November 20." (Onamatunga seems to be a variant spelling of Onamatanga, 18.3 S, 14.5 E.)
    That, however, is inconsistent with 750 km northward of Windhoek, as no part of Omusati is more than 650 km from Windhoek and Onamatanga is more like 550 km.  So I suspect that we're dealing with the typical confusion in initial reporting and would give weight to the orbital data.
