Hi All The clouds parted revealing a sky full of little dim twinkling lights to the shocked inhabitants of the rain forest... Two were noted flying in formation... 28537 05 004A 8049 G 20111201020836311 15 25 2207061+332990 37 S 28541 05 004C 8049 G 20111201020841383 15 25 2208345+324541 37 S 28537 05 004A 8049 G 20111201021009204 15 25 0037049+562227 37 S 28541 05 004C 8049 G 20111201021009204 15 25 0025449+545753 37 S I took the opportunity to concurrently test the radio obs setup along with the visual obs setup and obtained this Doppler curve of the pass as well: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15916951/SATOBS/sband_1112010222.JPG I also discovered my zoom lens doesn't like the cold. The grease seems to dislike near zero degree temperatures. While taking the lens apart to warm it up and determine the amount of work to replace the grease I discovered that the auto aperture, which I don't use, was partially closed! I manually cranked it open and can now see stars to 11th magnitude. Bonus! Regards, Scott ROBERTS CREEK 1: 8049 ST 49.4348 -123.6685 40. Scott Tilley ROBERTS CREEK 2: 8048 ST 49.4175 -123.6420 1.
